While fans are apparently dejected about the way Rooney had recently been kept out of important matches with Valencia and Sunderland, Sir Ferguson explained that reasons were clear, and mainly revolved around an ankle injury that was bothering Rooney for a few weeks. Although there has been much hue and cry about the way Ferguson has been managing the Manchester United team, he said that what the press sees as an apparent rift, is very common in soccer. The manager said that such news or concerns does not bother him, because there has been no foul play or partial behavior against the soccer legend. Ferguson?s clarifications led many to believe that it was only the long duration of Rooney?s injury that caused fans to create a bad impression about the proceedings. However, being kept out of the team was deemed necessary by coaches and Rooney?s advisors. These were plans to which Ferguson simply complied. Claiming to have made no mistake, Ferguson also said that talk about a ?rift? was far from bothering him. Rooney?s comeback match is supposed to kick off against West Bromwich in early November 2011. Although Ferguson seemingly accepted his role in ruling out Rooney?s participation, he said it was an entirely a practical decision. It sent the message that Ferguson?s intelligence was valuable, and that his pragmatic thinking was not going to change just because fans wanted to see Rooney to get their money?s worth. While the decision raised many questions, a history of arguments between the two soccer celebrities might keep fans thinking there is more to it than the press reveals.However, with Ferguson showing awareness about his errors in the Hargreaves announcement, the journalists saved most of their aggressive questions for another day. Experts believe that Rooney?s injury is no fairy tale scenario for Ferguson because the player has consistently contributed his efforts when they mattered the most. The NBA chief has said that the next offer made will be worse if the players think the present deal is bad. This seems to be turning into a labor problem for the authorities, especially as the players have decided to not give into the ultimatum set by the owner.According to reports, the players have been offered 49-51 percent of the revenues earned under the NBA banner. The commissioner has told the press that in case the players do not agree on the November 9 deadline, the offer will go down to 47 percent. While that sounds like a hard deal for most of the fans and players, the authorities have taken a stiff stance, and will not budge. That is the way things have shaped up, and little is expected to improve until further announcements. Although the players seem to be playing hard on this deal, they have told the press that they will continue to negotiate, and talks are the only way forward.The gains made by players seem to be huge for some, but the truth remains that they sweat it out to the crowd that pays the bucks. Although the NBA organizations employ people in different fields, their payments have to be made without getting them dissatisfied and burdening the authorities on another set of labor problems. While the economic problems are growing in the United States, no one would want their wages to be going down. And now NBA fans across the world will struggle with the new lockout of the National Basketball Association otherwise known as the NBA. Some ESPN and other professional sports writers and reporters are predicting that the 2011 NBA lockout is going to be a lot worse than the 2011 NFL lockout. Some of the reporters even go so far to say that the NBA may not even have a season this year. I wish this was not true but we have to face the facts, it is all about the money and how much everyone gets paid.
Problem – First off what starts every lockout in the history of sports is the problem that somewhere someone is not getting paid enough throughout the ranks of the organization. It was up to me I would just have them play and just have a flat salary but that is not how the world works in every player is not of equal talent. And in this case the NBA 2011 lockout was primarily caused by the NBA officials and the NBPA (otherwise known as the national basketball players Association) So Let’s cut to the chase. The Problem is that the collective bargaining agreement has expired and the NBA players in the commissioners cannot come to an agreement. A collective bargaining agreement is the profit share between the players and the owners and all of the rules and obligations they must comply with. This is the same problem that happened the NFL the players in the commissioners could not agree on the collective bargaining agreement just like the NBA. Although rumor has it that the NBA collective bargaining agreement problems will be a lot tougher to settle the NFL’s disagreement.
I have many predictions about what will happen with the NBA lockout.
1. My first prediction is that the NBA lockout will get so bad that some of the players will not even want to play the NBA anymore. Some players may even want to play overseas to become national stars and I think some veterans that would have played in the NBA this year may retire so they don’t have to put up with anything related to the lockout. The NBA could lose most of its stars and become not nearly as competitive as it was in recent years. Dwight Howard recently stated that there is a chance the lockout is so bad he may go to play in China. Many other NBA stars like Deron Williams and many other players.
2. Another one of my predictions is that they will come to an agreement just like the NFL but it will not be the greatest agreement and some players may even want to leave the NBA to play overseas. Although it is still possible they could come to a perfect agreement where both sides are making money and everybody is happy.
3. My last prediction is not the greatest of all predictions but is still possible to happen. The NBA lockout could become so bad that the NBA does not have a season for 1 to 2 years because they could never come to an agreement and eventually another lead could come over and take the NBA players from the NBA which could be a bad thing or a good thing it all depends on the situation.

The popularity of the games are noted in part by the fact that NBA sports gear flies off of the shelf and the racks as soon as it’s put there! What used to be primarily a NFL or MLB gig has now become an NBA niche as well. There are more commercials with past and present NBA celebs (and they are usually hilarious!) There are more home hosted NBA parties, which also used to be fairly reserved for MLB and Football.
NBA has always had fans. I’m not saying otherwise. It’s just that the popularity of it seems to be growing and not just in the cities and states that have NBA teams. You might expect to see NBA gear in Los Angeles or Boston, but now you can find it in big supply in Kansas and Minnesota, North Carolina, Nebraska, simply put; everywhere! NBA is big and it’s getting bigger. Men, women and children are all becoming more familiar with the names and faces of the NBA stars and are developing their own sports wardrobe which includes hats, tee-shirts, jerseys, and even accessories. Hey! Are those Reeboks in your closet? Collector’s item Jordans perhaps? Sports are big business and for the NBA, that business is getting bigger.
There is more of a selection in the sports shops and they are beginning to feature even more NBA gear for everyone; women, children, men, young and old. It really is impressive to see the sports stores making more room for the much in demand NBA sportswear. It sure makes shopping at the sportswear stores more interesting
The NBA is no longer on the back burner in the sports realm. The reason it is becoming so popular is because so many women are now becoming interested in basketball. In years gone by, it was normally men who switched on the TV every time there was an NBA game on. Maybe its years of being subjected to the game or maybe it’s something else, but women are beginning to love the game and the sportswear. Whatever the reason, manufacturers are now making NBA jackets, hats, jerseys and more aimed toward the female sports fan. It’s about time!
Sports in general are big. Sports gear and sportswear are big. Not only the NBA, but every other sport and team with their own followers. Some are die-hard fans that own every piece of sports gear available. They also tend to have their homes decorated in their team’s colors and have sprinklings of sports paraphernalia scattered about. It’s all good. No matter what sport you enjoy it no doubt enhances your life. We take great pleasure from sports in the United States, as I know they do elsewhere in the world.

However, he finally submitted his retirement papers to the league in January of this year. Favre mentioned to WDAM-TV in Hattiesburg that he was planning to take up a new career.His optionsDuring the interview, the former Minnesota Vikings player mentioned his choice of taking up coaching or becoming an NFL television analyst. However, he clearly stated that his chosen career would not materialize in the immediate future. During the interview, Favre said that full-time coaching at any level was a choice that he did not seem to happen in the short-term. In addition, he mentioned spending time with his children and will take the future as it evolves until the time he is bored of doing what he is doing. Favre was interviewed during a football camp in Oak Grove High School. He mentioned that he had done a lot of traveling during the past few months and was following Southern Miss baseball. The final match against the Columbus crew side saw them clinch a 3-0 win. The United boss Alan Pardew is very happy with  the team?s performance in the United States and the team have got the much needed practice matches before the EPL season that is to begin in the second week of August. The Magpies not only had to tackle the injuries, but also had to play on unfavorable playing conditions. But with all the odds pitched against them, Newcastle United boss feels that his team was able to respond to the situation very quickly. Pardew is of the view that the team had gone through excellent training drills between matches and the team has peaked at the right time. The fans who had watched Magpies play in Orlando would have been surprised to see a totally different show in Columbus.
